I hear the following question a lot – and I never take offense. I know how training programs like mine are often perceived (not always without reason). So here’s a question I got not too long ago and my answer to it:
“Are you a scam? I’m extremely skeptical. I’ve spent almost $30,000 over the last five years buying real estate investing material. I even did a mentoring program with another guru. I never get to talk with the guru, just some guy who wasn’t actually doing the deals. I want to believe that what you’re saying is true but my experiences have not been good.”
The idea of what a mentor program is varies among teachers. I can’t speak for other teachers out there and what they’re doing and why they do what they do. However, I don’t understand how you can be a mentor if you’re not talking to your students or actually mentoring them, or if you’re passing them off onto a coach that sits in a room somewhere for $25 an hour and answers questions for people that call in.
That, to me, is not a mentor program. A mentor program is where you get to actually talk with the guy who’s doing deals and with the guy who created the system so that you can see what his take is on it and how he lays it out. The best way to learn this is to do a step by step process.
While there’s no way that I can prove to you that I’m legitimate, you can look at some of the people that have come through my program and make your decision from that. If you go to my case studies site, you’ll be able to see 40 to 50 videos that are there right now, and it’s always growing as we’re always adding new people to it.
There’s a ton of videos on there right now with students who have been in my mentor program who talk about how they got started and the struggles they went through. The videos are not just a bunch of pat me on the back videos where I just want them to say how wonderful I am. These are videos about the real experiences of these people as they went through the process.
We asked them questions like, ‘How did you do your first deal? How did it work? What did you have to do to make it happen? How did you struggle? Where were the problems for you? What did it take to get it going? How much did you make?’
We ask them those questions and you can listen to those videos. There are hours and hours and hours and hours of material on there that you can learn so much from, just from those people, about the things I’m doing, and it’s all free.
Visit this website and watch the videos there to get a feel for yourself on whether you think I’m legitimate, and decide if you want to work with me or not. Try these techniques yourself and see if they work or not. That may be the proof in the pudding you need in order to sign on and work with me if that’s what you decide to do later. I hope that helps.
